looks good, of course. but i actually find some parts too detailed. i don't like it. but that's just me. i want more of a quake'ish feel, the original quake. less futuristic(or if futuristic, then rusty) less detailed, more grim, more smudged and dull.

like, instead of bright white lights, have the old dim yellow lights. lol

and some of that texturing is too much. maybe not. i mean, well, what are those square parts under each yellow reactor trim bar there? i find that when i enter this room, my eyes are looking at all this shit, instead of looking for the players.

need more "sandy" textures. i don't know the right term. :)

Thanks for the comments!

Visuals are subjective, so hopefully if you don't like the looks maybe you will enjoy the gameplay :).

I've never been one to design the 'correct' way, so if my design is over-textured or over-detailed or not thematically correct doesn't bother me too much. I will try to get some more screens and maybe an alpha up this weekend!

I think deqer is right. Is like in qlive with the banners all around? They had this crank2 commercial everywhere and it was hard to concentrate on the enemy. It's hard here, too. It's so grey and suddenly there are yellow blocks. Perhaps if you could add some more colors, it wouldn't be so eye-catchy. I guess... my 2 cents :d

Don't make this like your last entry: monochromatic. Add more yellow to make the yellow trim work better. Think of something creative. Monochrome is good, but the monotony of it can overwhelm the map. I liked how it was pulled of last time, but I thoroughly doubt you're a one trick pony. ;)

Looks really nice, and I wouldn't worry too much about the visuals affecting gameplay.
Many players use low gfx settings, such as picmip 5-16.
