Not id software but several other games =)

That detail dirt on the lamps looks OMG. How you did that?
Just some random brushes in photoshop with an grey alpha and the alphashader and then letting it rotate around?
Omg I think I just answered the question myself... but would be cool if you could give a statement. Want to add this in our map, too. If you don't mind. Cause this fits very well in outdoor areas, too.

Which lamps do you mean, the large, the medium or the small?

Small, are those on the walls, on the extrusions and above the door.
Medium, those stuck on the ceiling with a small frame around (these I think looks the best).
Large, the ones hanging from the ceiling in a rope with a small glow around the emitter.

Uh, it's just some yellow that fades into black, then blend func add on that. And it's not rotating, I don't really care much for those rotating glows. I got moats around for that effect anyway...

Ahh, ok.
The moats/dust. It's just some yellow pixels on a black plane, blend func alpha (same as the other effect described) and some random very slow scroll speed.

If I don't post a _final_ level before or early friday - I'm out - leaving for a friends summer place, where there's no comps that can handle Q3. And I won't be back until ~8Aug give or take....

Very bad planing, I know - I should have entered this comp earlier.


Edit: Since the last time I posted, I've done, _tons_ of stuff though.

Well, this is my submission entry.

It contains all 6 ads, new textures (except for that q3-fence =)), new sounds... the GP is 1v1 with a very high vertical profile. (edit: a bit like Crescent.)


I tried to make sure there are as few bugs as possible, cause I will be leaving soon and not be back until a week from now and then the comp is over.

There's actually many small things that I wanted to fix in the level, like water lilies, weapon markers, sun rays, texture alignment, better ambient sounds, a better ivy texture, texture reflections etc, better and less buggy bot support. (edit: Could be a bit dark too, I think I have a pretty bright screen.)

The most annoying bug is that there's some kind of "random" place by the stairs where I get stuck very rarely when I strafe around them.

I probably know most other bugs too, but go ahead and point them out for me - but I won't be able to submit a fixed version until after the contest (perhaps a slight chance in the early morning).
