still many things changing..
i dont plan my maps out so much as a sculpt them and reeve-eyes as eye go.

its looking like i may have some issues with max visibility..
we'll see once its finally fully enclosed and tested for leaks.. :D boing

max map vis exceed. ad ive converted more structural to detail than lol hmm..

im really pushy with making the compiler visualize in odd ways.. hinting... is going to be hairy.

You will have problems with people getting motionsicknes on this map for shure.

You are simply sick with building geo, keep on going.

While looking at your screens i feel like my map is crap :P.

im exceeding max vis because its not enclosed properly.. :D the vis stage isnt done so all tris are being drawn all over. :D highest settings

You should've shown more editor screens. One's meant to show his progress, while in your case I see 2 pretty much unrelated things. I wanted to compare the .map files, but it seems the links don't work anymore.

the current map file which in flat shading will look all red lol..

um the first picture i took of the map had it mirrored four of the same.. i tried working with one and one half mirrors the second half rotated ninety degrrrees.. since then ive made many many alterations..

filedropper only holds file a few days. no account necessary

skinmaster: One major cause of the maximum visibility exceeded error is because there is too much structural information in a map to calculate. I had this problem with my ctf map for the last competition. The way to fix this is to make as much of the "detail" in your map as you can into detail brushes to simplify the calculations.

It is hard to tell, but it looks like that may be hard in this map as your terrain looks to be built to block out the void.

Using hint brushes might help, but I'm not 100% sure in this case.

thanks phantasm, its still not fully enclosed.. a large chunk of one side i removed..

every detail has been converted.. and yeah much of the angled stuff is blocking out the void.

once its enclosed i will begin deciding what to do about chopping up the length of views for the longest povs.... if i cant solve the vis thing i will go for visual prettyness. the low fps, is an emachine laptop :P highest settings. and only in certain spots does the fps drop low like that.
