Good to have you in! If you want to go for the same sheme as in the ctf map you showed off over at q3w, I'd try either to reduce the amount of different patterns or the amount of different colors - you should also have shapes that one will remember. I liked that theme but I felt like the colors and patterns were just too much.

that map is incomplete.. thanks though i will post a new screenshot today. i get your sense of it too, more people than you have commented on the texture scheme.. ive been changing them and have something a bit different now.. large amounts of work.. lol

hows this though.. still a good graphics editor can fool any of us with clever editing.

tube add though, i screen capture in the editor using flat shading.. had to turn it off to get the whisker texture to show as other than a grey brush

imho.. i like to show off the architecture.. so i will port my map file until i begin texturing, then i post the pk3 with the map file in maps/ outside the pk3 within the zip.

been workin on rock brushes all long lol..

sooo many brushes needed to enclose the mountain side.......been adding the blue ones all morning, uber tall area.. i'd capture with the silly whiskers thing.. but you get the idea. flat shaded is cleaner to look at...in camera in flat shaded... i wonder if we could view a single bush trilinearly and the rest flat shaded...

unsure wich of these will make it into the map.. certainly the rough hewn stone and the grey brick wall, and one of the tile floors possible.. figure make many textures and choose a few

i think you'd do extremely well in a geocomp, it seems to be your thing! I think a simplistic set such as DSI or nunuk's textures would really accentuate the brushwork. (or some of the more garrish geocomp sets)

after the first texture text.... ma vertex editing play horrid mess brush wise... ive created a hundred sparkly lies where the closd edge of a brush has divided its edge line into two or something..

an full day ahead for rebuilding a hundred brushes.. lol argh
